Group exhibition summer 2012.<\/p>\n

The exhibition did\u00a0not take place\u00a0within the safe concrete walls of the Arts Centre, but in the wild and overgrown wooded area in front\u00a0of the Art Centre\u2019s entrance and on the steps down to the waterfront. These outdoor areas were\u00a0transformed\u00a0into an organic and process oriented exhibition space\u00a0at the mercy of the climate\u00a0and seasonal whims.<\/p>\n

The works took\u00a0the form of site-specific visual interventions in the landscape and focused on\u00a0themes such as displacement, identity, absence, protection, and as the title refers to, a paradise lost.<\/p>\n

During the summer of 2012, a total of 15\u00a0works created by 22 artists were on display. Lise Wulff showed\u00a0Signs of life (pulse)<\/em> and Signs of life (breath)<\/em>.<\/p>\n

A circle is drawn on the steps. The shape of the circle changes as the viewer moves around it. The steps divide up the circle, creating a steady, visual rhythm.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Among the tree trunks lies a mound of pinecones. Cones\u00a0open up when dry and close tight when wet. A slow, slow\u00a0movement is created. The Sound of Life<\/a> is heard from within\u00a0the mound, composed by the musician Mathias Eick.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
